Christmas 2015

Christmas in the Catholic school community

By Andie McHardy-Blaser

This blessed time of the year brings many events and happenings in the Catholic school community. We wanted to celebrate the season by sharing stories from our Principals and their schools, whose Christmas spirits shine so brightly.

Staff and students at Blessed Sacrament Catholic School, TCDSB showed their holiday spirit by decorating a beautiful Christmas tree with donated mittens for children, hosting a toy drive and having a bake sale with all proceeds going towards food vouchers for those in need.

Regina Mundi C.E.S. Hamilton opened its heart to the Catholic Children’s Aid Society (CCAS) Hamilton. Staff and students shared Christmas joy, assembling baskets full of gifts for families in need, while the Grade 6 class organized a volleyball game to purchase additional grocery gift cards for each basket.

Thank you to Principal Kathy Banfield and Vice-Principal Isilda Attridge of Blessed Sacrament Catholic School, and to Principal Marisa di Censo of Regina Mundi C.E.S. Hamilton, for sharing your wonderful school stories, so full of true Christmas spirit!

CPCO team would like to wish everyone a happy and healthy holiday season, and a fabulous New Year!
