CPCO Conference 2017: what to expect

By Hannah Yakobi

Our annual conference is less than a month away!

This year, the event features an incredible line-up of keynote speakers and several excellent breakout sessions guided by industry leaders.

The Opening Keynote is by Bruce Rodrigues, Deputy Minister of Education. As an exemplary thought leader and role model for humble and merciful leadership in education, he will set the tone for this year’s conference theme: Walking Each Other Home. Recognizing the work that we do as leaders in Catholic Education can be all-consuming — especially in times of “initiative fatigue” — Bruce reminds us of the importance of support, stewardship, accompaniment and encounter, and our commitment to walking each other home. You can read more about his keynote on our website.

We’ve all been there — in that awkward, difficult-conversation twilight zone, where everything seems to spiral downwards.

Luckily, there are a few ways to make your next difficult conversation a little easier, and it all essentially comes down to improving communication.
